Corporate Social Responsibility at WoodCrafters
WoodCrafters has a longstanding CSR area that has provided important assistance to employees and the community throughout the years.
Throughout different CSR efforts, WoodCrafters has shown the importance of helping its most valuable asset, its employees, in each individuals’ development and growth, so they can become leaders at work, in their homes and their communities.
And in partnership with private and public institutions, the company gives back to the communities where it has established itself, in the United States and Mexico.
Our areas of action are Health, Human Development and Environment.
Guidelines for Corporate Philanthropy
WoodCrafters’ philanthropic efforts reflect the diverse interests of our values focusing on several distinct areas: health, human development and environment.
The company welcomes requests for support throughout the year within the guidelines and program areas set forth. We do not consider multi-year requests for support.
Requests must be submitted in writing and should include the following information:
- A brief, written description of the organization on its official letterhead, including its legal name, history, activities, and purpose
- History of previous support from WoodCrafters
- The amount being requested
- A description of the purpose for which the donation is requested
Requests and supporting materials are carefully reviewed. If the request is within the WoodCrafters’ guidelines and program priorities, and available funds permit consideration of this request, the organization may be asked to provide more complete information before a decision is made.
Notification of donation request approval or rejection will be made in writing within two weeks of receipt of all proposed materials.
Since the company receives funding requests far in excess of its annual donations program budget, it must often decline support to worthy organizations and programs. Such a response does not reflect in any way a negative appraisal of the prospective organization or the value of its services.
Exclusions
- Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, religion, age, national origin, or sexual orientation
- Partisan political organizations, committees, or candidates and public office holders
- Labor unions
- Organizations whose prime purpose is to influence legislation
- For-profit publications or organizations seeking advertisements or promotional support
- Individuals seeking self-advancement
